Even though I’ve had a lack of blog posts this year I haven’t disappeared from the online world completely. I’ve been uploading photos to flickr, creating myspace and facebook accounts and commenting on a few items of interest.
For the past 10+ months I’ve been a full-time stay-at-home-dad. It’s been awesome, although a little tiresome, and just occasionally frustrating. Nate is a well tempered kid. I know that I’m very lucky in that regard.
I still work at the Summit Hut although my schedule is kind of funky. I go to the store after Jenny gets home from school and then return home around 8:30pm to help give Nate a bath and get him into bed, then I write code from our home office late into the night. Sometimes a little too late. I guess I’ve been in a constant state of sleep deprivation or so I’ve been told.
Nate is now one year old and I can hardly believe how fast the time went. I’ve heard that these first couple years of parenthood can go by so fast you hardly have time to think and that you’ll look back someday and wish you could have slowed them down. Does anyone have a trick for actually doing that?
Jenny and I are still enjoying Tucson and the southwest in general. We don’t get out nearly as much as we’d like to but when we do we have a great time. Nate seems to like being outside too. I’ll hopefully share more of our adventures this winter when we start being a little more active.
So that’s the long and short of it. Once again I’ll make an attempt to blog a little more often. I would love to get back into it and see if I can’t improve my writing skill, or at the very least, my writing speed. This post took way too long to write and it’s not any kind of masterpiece. Oh well.
